Madonna in the half time show

Football has never been my thing, but I enjoyed Madonna's half time show during the Super Bowl. Even though I felt that it was a bit self serving in the beginning, I thought she did a great performance. Now the trouble is brewing over the British rapper showing the middle finger during the performance.

What can network television do to keep live television family friendly? Various organizations are blaming hiring of Madonna. They claim what do you expect when you hire Madonna? I thought Madonna did well keeping it family friendly as much as Madonna standards could. She was reasonably dressed with no real sexual gestures. My five year old was impressed by the colorful lights on the steps.

One solution is mainly for parents. They can DVR shows that they feel is more children oriented. They can fast forward commercials and make sure their children only watch child friendly shows. You can DVR live shows and fast forward vulgar parts.

It is ashame that it has come to this that we can't trust anyone to act appropriately. It ruins entertainment and makes it a bit darker.
